Seven of the most dangerous cities in the world will host World Cup Games in Brazil

The Global Homicide Report - released by the UN – has identified that 11 of the 30 most dangerous cities in the world are in Brazil.

Seven of these cities will host FIFA World Cup games during the forthcoming tournament.

These cities are:

  • Fortaleza

  • Natal

  • Salvador

  • Cuiabá

  • Manau

  • Recife

  • Belo Horizonte

Travellers to these cities face significant risk from violent and opportunistic crime such as mugging, bag snatching, armed-robbery, sexual assault and murder. It is imperative that travellers to these cities fully understand the risks they face and ensure they receive adequate travel security advice prior to departure.
